The conversion finally happened. I gave into the temptation to get onto the Blackberry Internet Service bandwagon. But thats in part because of the "we're the Blackberry Boys" campaign run by Vodafone. And a new price point for Blackberry services.
Vodafone was the first one to launch the Blackberry 399 plan on Prepaid starting from Rs.15 per day.
Here are the details of the plan.
- unlimited IM
- unlimited Email
- unlimited Apps download
- unlimited browsing
- unlimited RIM and Non-RIM app usage Including Google Maps.
Basically everything unlimited. Even in roaming. Too good to be true right? Post paid customers, I'm sorry you'll have to shell out 599 for the same service. I plan to use it with google maps while roaming.
Only 2 caveats.
1. The plan is not available on 3G (you already knew that)
2. Roaming data may not be free on all networks. Check before you step out.
Oh well what the hell, its still a damn good plan. So far only these companies have launched this plan:
1.Vodafone
2.Airtel
3. Tata Docomo (my network)(pre & postpaid customers - 399)
4. BSNL
5. Aircel
